Biography

In 2021, Athanasios received his Intergrated Masters in Computer Science & Engineering, with a GPA of 7.32/10, from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Ioannina, in Greece. During his studies in the same institution, he carried out and completed a placement/traineeship as part of the IT Support Team (2017-2018) and he was a student laboratory assistant in courses related to Electronics Engineering (2017-2019). He participated in the Erasmus programme for a semester, when he studied abroad in Politecnico di Torino, Italy (2018-2019).

His Diploma Thesis is titled as “Design and Analysis of test scan chains in known benchmark cores and their implementation in a 3D integrated circuit”.

He was selected for the Summer Student Programme 2020 intership from CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, but the programme was cancelled due to the pandemic and converted into an online learning initiative (07/2020-08/2020).

His research interests in the field of Electronics Engineering include Electronic Design Automation, Fault Modeling and Design for Testability.

He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Security and Reliability of Embedded Systems under prof. Vasileios Tenentes, for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Ioannina.
