Biography
In 2003, he received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Piraeus in Greece. M.Sc. degree in computer science and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina, in Greece, in 2007 and 2013, respectively.
He is currently an Associate Professor in digital systems with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Ioannina in Greece.
In the past, he was a Research Engineer at Siemens (2007-2008), and at Helic, S.A. (2008-2009) in Athens (which was acquired my Ansys Inc., and then by Synopsys Inc.); a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton at the U.K. (2013-2017); and a Research Engineer at Arm Ltd. in Cambridge, U.K. (2017-2018).
He has coauthored over 45 papers published in international journal and conference proceedings and holds 3 patents on hardware and systems security. His research interests include electronic design automation, hardware design for security, VLSI design and test, embedded systems and IoT, emerging VLSI technologies, and post-von Neumann computing architectures for emerging applications.
His research has been nominated 3 times for best paper awards at IEEE conferences (ICECS’23, MOCAST’21, DFT’17) and has received a best paper award at ICECS’23. He has received funding by Arm Ltd., Bizzcom S.A., Census S.A., EPSRC, the EU (through Horizon and IPCEI) and National resources.
He has served at the technical program committee of many conferences (IEEE/ACM DATE, IEEE ICECS, IEEE MOCAST, IEEE ISCC and PACET) and is a member of IEEE (2007), TTTC of IEEE Computer Society (2007), CASS (2023) and HiPEAC (2023).

He is a member of IEEE since 2007 and HiPEAC since 2023.
